If you remember in earlier cameras, you needed film rolls to take photos. The number of photos you could take with these cameras was also limited.
Buying a camera was very simple in those days, as there was hardly any choice available to choose from.
But today there are very few camera manufacturers who are still making film cameras. There are so many digital cameras available, and at highly affordable costs that too, that no one likes to buy anything other than a digital camera.
When you buy film cameras, you end up spending more money due to the rolls of film that you will need to buy. Plus, you can take only limited photographs.
Then, you have to take the film to the photo studio and spend money for developing the photos and printing them. You have to wait for a few hours before actually seeing the photos you clicked.
If the photos were not clicked properly, then you will lose that film space. But, when you use digital cameras, you have none of these problems.
The digital camera has an in-built memory that is used in storing
the photos that are clicked with it. There is a slot where
you can put a memory card that can store data up to several
gigabytes.
